A TOTAL OF 3 KIT OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM, OR A PRE-BUILT CAR TO YOUR SPEC

Your choice will depend on a number of factors including your budget, the amount of time you have to spare and the amount of space you have in which to build your car. The choices start with the basic body and chassis kit for which we offer three options. The “Standard” body/chassis kit is based on the early Jaguar XJ6/S running gear with the inboard rear brakes.  Or the popular “Generation II ” body/chassis kit which is based on the later Jaguar XJ40 running gear which have the outboard rear brakes, or our latest ” Generation III SUPALITE” body/chassis kit which is also based on the Jaguar XJ40 but has a stiffer more tubular chassis and the bonus of over 100 KG weight saving over the Generation II Kit.

GENERATION III  “SUPA LITE” BODY/CHASSIS KIT

Our Latest addition the Generation III Body/chassis kit,  is designed to take the Jaguar XJ 40 running gear with outboard rear brakes, teamed with AK’s own tubular top and bottom front  wishbones and rear bottom wishbones. It is a lighter weight ladder/space frame combination chassis and was designed to create a car worthy of both exceptional track and road handling.  The Generation III also has full steel lowered floor plates and as with our other body/ chassis kits the chassis is powder coated black satin the doors and bonnet pre- hung and the body pre-fitted  to the chassis with out full comprehensive kit package.  ROLLING CHASSIS OPTION AVAILABLE

GENERATION II BODY/CHASSIS KIT

Our latest Generation II body/chassis kit is the most comprehensive package on the market. This is our latest chassis and is designed to take the later Jaguar XJ40 running gear with AK’s own tubular top/bottom front wishbones and rear bottom wishbones. It is always good policy to check what you get in the kit when comparing prices. The body is pre-fitted to the chassis and all internal panels (inner wheel arches, tub and boot) bonded into place. The doors and bonnet are all pre-hung to ensure the correct fit.  Absolutely NO fibreglass and resin skills required.  Engine and gearbox mounts are welded to the chassis and roll bar mounts pre-fitted to customer requirements. The chassis is then powder coated in satin black. ROLLING CHASSIS OPTION AVAILABLE

STANDARD BODY/CHASSIS KIT

Our Standard body/chassis kit is the most comprehensive package on the market. The chassis is designed to take the Jaguar XJ6/XJS running gear with the inboard rear brakes.  It is a ladder type chassis with partial backbone and full steel lowered floors. It is always good policy to check what you get in the kit when comparing prices. The body is pre-fitted to the chassis and all internal panels (inner wheel arches, tub and boot) bonded into place. The doors and bonnet are all pre-hung to ensure the correct fit. No fibreglass and resin skills required. Engine and gearbox mounts are welded to the chassis and roll bar mounts pre-fitted to customer requirements. The chassis is then powder coated as standard in satin black.

This is a “Standard” factory built AK 427. Ready to hit the open roads and 100% complete, registered and taxed.  It is always very difficult to say what is a “standard” car, what extras should be added to the car as a standard is a challenge,  we all have different tastes and all have a  vision of what our dream car looks like therefore we have compiled this “standard specification” to give you a basic guideline of the parts we include in our builds.  Our motto here at AK is “Your dream is our passion” so we expect your project to be wholely to your specification and would spend the time showing you ALL the options available for you before commencing your build to ensure you get the dream car you envisaged.   All our fully built cars will be built and tested as category ‘L’ (Low Volume Type Approval).
