The AK can take a variety of engines, mainly small block American Chevy and Ford V8.  The Rover V8 is also a popular choice.

Any engine could be fitted to an AK depending on the dimensions of the engine, we will have a go at anything.   However, traditionally, the Cobra was fitted with a V8 and this would be what we would recommend.
