Hi all. I am currently planning a project to build an AC Cobra replica, The AK Kit seems a good way to go. would be great if i could have a few thoughts on whats the best engine to go for. The project will be on a tight budget, so I am looking at obtaining and refurbishing a V8. As much as I want the finished car to have bags of power, and sound like a tank, it needs to be sensible, fuel consumption needs to be as reasonable as possible for a V8. I hope to be able to use my replica for long trips into europe etc, so reliability would be nice too
. Also readily available parts is a must. Your opinon would be much appreciated, plus any tips, or words of warning will be well recieved.
